This is a lie. The democrats have called for the use of emergency funds to cover SNAP payments. The Senate Democrats are not willing to stand aside and allow the Republicans to defund Affordable Care Act subsidies that will significantly raise the cost of healthcare for most Americans. The Republicans control the three branches of the Federal Government currently, and have the ability to control the funding for SNAP payments. But they are unwilling to negotiate with the Democrats. They just want to be able to cut funding for health care.
